Boys Monthly Letters

On the way home ...

We broke up on the 10 hour drive each way to give the driver, the kids, and me (the one to keep everyone happy) a break. :) On the way home we stopped in St. George and had a nice break. We walked around the St. George Temple and then the boys got to swim at the hotel which the had a blast doing.

The Boys First Trip to Disneyland

Brandon has been begging for years to go to Disneyland and now that Kyle is almost 3 we decided it was high time we went. We spent three days at Disneyland and had a great time!!!

We all pretty much agreed on our favorite rides: Indian Jones (Brandon rode this one 6 times), Hollywood Tower Hotel (Eric's favorite), Pirates of the Caribbean (Kyle covered his eyes through most of the ride the first couple times we did it but he warmed up to the pirates by the last time we rode it), Space Mountain, Toy Story Mania, The Matterhorn and The Haunted Mansion.

And the other huge highlight was that both Eric & Brandon were chosen to go up on the stage for the Jedi Training Academy and got to train to become a Jedi Padowan. They even got to battle against Darth Vadar ... it was AWESOME!!!

It was a really fun trip!

Newport Beach

We drove to Vegas on Monday and then today we drove the rest of the way to California. We checked into our hotel near Disneyland and then went down to Newport Beach. It was so much fun. It was in the mid 60s so not super warm but that didn't stop the boys from having fun on the beach.

The boys loved chasing the birds up and down the pier.

Then we went down to the beach where Kyle continued to chase the birds. He seriously ran and ran and ran down the beach and had gone a good mile (no joke) by the time we caught up with him and turned him around. And he would've kept on going without a care in the world too. That kid is going to be a cross-country runner for sure!!

And OF COURSE, Dave had to end the day at his very most favorite resturaunt, The Crab Cooker!!
