Signs of Spring!

The boys have been begging for weeks for us to set the tramp back up and we have had such beautiful weather this week that we finally did it. They LOVE it! And Kyle would practically live on the tramp if he could. "Jumpie Jump Jump!" is what we hear from him all the time now. :)

And of course with these nice sunny days Dave had to clean his motorcycle, which the boys just HAD to "help" with!

Happy Birthday Chris & Janeen

Tonight we had Dave's mom and Aunt over for a little birthday dinner. We had Chicken Cordon Bleu and I made their favorite dessert, Red Velvet cake. Then we watched the Jazz lose ... grr! But it was fun to have them over and to celebrate with them!

29 never looked so good! Happy Birthday!

The Projects are DONE!

I had to skip the gym this morning (I know ... gasp!!) to get the boys bathroom painted before our neighbor came back this evening to do the grout on the new tile floor. It was worth it though and now the tile is done and the walls are freshly painted and the boys have a really nice bathroom ... where I am sure they will continue to pee on the floor just as much as before! :) But at least I will "enjoy" cleaning it more!

I also made it into Taipan today and got some decorations for Kyle's big boy room so that project is done as well. Yeah! I do have to pull his toy box out of him room every afternoon for his nap or he gets up and plays instead of napping but other then that he has adjusted really well to his new big boy room!

Big Boy Room

This weekend was a weekend of projects around the house. I spend Friday evening painting Kyle's room for his new big boy room. I was really happy to paint over the light blue that has been the nursery since we first moved into our house but at the same time it was kind of sad to say goodbye to the nursery. His room is now painted Americana colors. He has two dark blue walls, one tan wall and one red wall. We weren't sure whether we would set up his big boy bed right away or not (it's been sitting out in the garage waiting for him) but because of the paint fumes in his room he had a slumber party in Eric's room Friday night and so we just put his crib mattress on the floor in Eric's room and he went right to sleep without any trouble so we decided that the crib would come down as well and we would just get him into it. He has had no problem sleeping in his bed at night or for naps for the last two days. What a good boy!

Obviously I need to spend some time this week decorating Kyle's new room so that will for sure be on my to-do list for the next couple days as well.
