Kindergarten Fun Run
Today Brandon got to participate in the Fun Run for with his school. Eric & I got to run the 1 mile run along with him and the other kindergarteners. It was really fun. Brandon had made up his mind that he was going to win the race. He took off at the beginning of the race and was far in the lead. The only trouble with it was that they didn't have adults stationed at all the turns to direct them where to run and he was so far out in the lead that he went the wrong way and had to back track quite a bit to get back with the other runners. But he didn't let that stop him. He worked his hardest and almost caught up. He ended up coming in third which is saying something considering he ran more then the 1 mile.
And Eric was amazing as well! I think he was the only younger kid who ran and that kid never stopped the whole mile. He ran and ran and never took a single break and ended up coming in 4th for the whole race. What a couple good distance runners we have!

I don't need no silly training wheels!
While Dave has been out of town the last couple days for work I have been working with Eric on riding his bike without training wheels. He is a natural! The second day out there he just took off!

Thanks Brooke!
My sweet neighbor Brooke is moving (sniff sniff) and gave us these two matching kids art desks that she knew my boys would just love. They do!!
I actually have three friends in my neighborhood that are moving in the next little while ... Brooke :( and Rebecca :( and Mindy :( and the kids and I are really going to miss them all.

1st Cabin trip of the Year!
We took a quick trip up to the cabin this weekend, our first cabin trip of the year. We always get so anxious to get up there each spring and can hardly wait!
The boys had so much fun just getting ready for the trip this year! This first trip was mostly just because we got a used sectional for the cabin that we needed to get up there and out of our garage. We rented a UHaul to get them up there (Dave didn't want them to get all dusty). Because we had to tow that, the 4-wheelers had to stay behind this trip. :(
But next trip, we will get the 4-wheelers up to the cabin. We only went for one night this time, a pretty quick trip.
The weather was quite nice for this time of year, cool but not freezing. We did get to our cabin to find that part of our deck had collapsed under the weight of the winter snow but it shouldn't be too difficult of a repair project for Dave next time.
Dave had a GREAT time this weekend! He could seriously live up there. He has so much fun just wandering around outside finding things to do.
Walking the fence lines and making repairs as well as walking the ditches and irrigation canals to make sure we are getting enough water onto our property. He could do that for hours!
And of course, he takes the boys on lots of "adventures".
Brandon loves playing outside exploring nature and also enjoys just hanging out in the cabin, reading books and having some quiet time.

Happy 90th Birthday Grandpa O'Berry!
My Grandpa O'Berry turned 90 today! Wow! And doesn't he look great!
It was a fun weekend in Colorado. We drove home on Sunday and stopped in Rawlins on the way home to visit with Dave's Grandpa Barnhisel. It was so nice to see and visit with him. He is wonderful! We were very happy to get to see him.
We arrived home to find that our ward boundaries have been redrawn and we now have a new bishop, new building and new time. Yikes, looks like it's going to be a busy week for the primary secretary (me) and the rest of our ward as we deal with all the changes.
Glad to be home!
