Easter Dinner

We had Easter dinner at Grandma Chris' house.  I refilled all the eggs that the kids got yesterday (with much better candy!) and let the kids and their cousins have a more challenging hunt.  It was fun!

And then after dinner we went on a little walk up a nearby canyon to enjoy the beautiful day!

Easter Morning

I love Easter!  What a wonderful day to celebrate our Savior.

And the kids enjoyed doing a little Easter egg scavenger hunt around the house after church to find their little Easter baskets.

Saturday Easter Egg Hunt

The boys scored ... especially Kyle who managed to get more eggs then I think any of the thousands of kids there!

Hunting Easter Eggs

Today was a beautiful day for our annual Easter Egg hunt at Randy & Melissa's house.

The kids LOVE hunting for eggs.  This year there were even gold and silver money eggs.

 And of course, gorging afterwards!

Happy Easter!

Easter Egg Hunt #2

Today we had an Easter BBQ at our house with Grandma Norberg, Ryan & Alisa and their boys, my cousin Shelley and her family and my cousin Lisa and her husband Alex. It was so much fun! Dave manned the BBQ (of course) and grilled up some fantastic burgers ... it's been a long time since I had a real burger and not a turkey burger ... yumm!!

Then we hid over 200 Easter eggs (I know, I am totally over the top about Easter egg hunts) and the kids got to go wild. It was so fun to watch them. I was so glad that grandma Norberg could come. She got to hang out with 9 of her 28 great-grandkids! (I think I counted right. Plus she has two more on the way.)

Afterwards the kids took to sorting their candy. :)

Then the kids all went down to the theatre room to watch "Tangled". The women hung out in the kitchen talking and after a little while we realized that the NBA playoffs were on in the family room but none of the guys were there. Turns out, they had all gone downstairs to watch "Tangled" with the kids. Don't think they are going to live that one down. :)

Kyle's 3rd Birthday & Easter Egg Hunt

Kyle turns three tomorrow but we had a family Easter party today and so we celebrated it today. Thanks to Aunt Melissa who put on the party, it was the easiest birthday celebration I have done. :)

I didn't even have to make a cake. Aunt Amy made her famous bunny cake which Kyle thought was very cool. Thanks Aim!

I can't believe my baby is 3. Crazy!! We got him a new booster seat and retired the "throne" carseat that has gone through all our boys. I looked in the van afterwards and without the throne it looked so weird, just three boosters. I told Dave "we're growing up!"

After the birthday stuff, the kids all went outside to hunt for Easter eggs which is almost as big as Christmas morning for my boys.

Hunting for EGGS!

We got to enjoy a really fun Easter brunch and Easter Egg hunt at Randy & Melissa's house today. The food was of course fantastic! There was still quite a bit of snow in their backyard so we had to have the Easter Egg hunt inside. Melissa had a jumping castle in the basement where the kids could play while we hid the Easter eggs on the main floor.

Needless to say, the kids thought that was just the coolest thing ever!

The kids love hunting for eggs and had a great time. Brandon was so excited that he found the $5 money egg!!

Eric was just happy to get lots of candy but also came away with a $1 money egg.

Kyle just enjoyed the hunt and having some chocolate to munch on!

The snow did melt later on and the kids were able to go outside and play for a little bit. They of course had a great time!

And we attempted to take a little family Easter picture which as you can see, Kyle was having no part in. All he wanted to do was play on the forbidden rocks. Little stinker. So this is the best we could do.

Brandon wouldn't put down his stick he found, Eric had to have his $1 he got in the Easter Egg hunt out for all to see and Kyle was screaming the entire time. :) Oh well ... what can you do?

Thanks Randy & Melissa for hosting it. It was a lot of fun!
