Marcus Lynn Norberg

My grandpa Norberg died on Saturday at age 84. He was buried in Alpine, Utah with full military honors including a 21 gun salute. He was a U.S. Air Force pilot in World War II.

Dad, Dave, Ryan, Shane and my cousins Ben and Kevin were the pall-bearers.

Grandma Norberg, Aunt Phyllis, Aunt Nina and grandpa's sisters Dorothy Rothe, Betty Pulham, Carol Pulham and Janice Pyne.

My dad and siblings were all able to come out for the funeral. It was wonderful to all be together and to be about to support grandma. We will miss grandpa but know that he is now in a better place and reunited with his daughter Vivian, our mother.

The Boys ONE Year Stats

Kyle had his one year check up today. Here are some comparison stats from the boys:

Brandon at 12 mths:
20 lbs 12 oz (20th percentile) and 29 3/4 inches tall.

Eric at 12 mths:
24 lbs 1 oz (66th percentile) and 30 1/2 inches tall.

Kyle at 12 mths:
19 lbs 11 oz (10th percentile) and 29 1/4 inches tall.

Obviously Dave's hopes of having an NFL player will rest with Eric. :) Kyle is definitely our smallest boy at this point.

Soccer

Today was Eric's first soccer game! It was fun, for all of us! Eric donned his bright orange uniform and new cleats and shin guards. He was so excited. He was so excited that he forgot he was out on the field to play soccer and instead just PLAYED! He did his ninja moves, did somersaults on his head, daydreamed instead of running after the ball or just laid down on the field to enjoy the beautiful day. When he did kick the ball he didn't follow it, he just froze in one of his fighting stances. It was hilarious. He did score one goal ... too bad it was for the other team. :) It was a lot of fun and a beautiful day for it. Welcome Spring!

Happy Birthday Kyle!

My baby is ONE! I have to admit, I am a little sad about that. Babies don't stay babies for very long and it makes me sad.

We had a fun little party for him with pizza which he inhaled and of course, chocolate cake which he LOVED!

I also wanted to add a picture of Brandon and Eric at their 1st birthday as well, just to reminisce and compare.

"I bought it for the kids!"

"But honey, I bought it for the kids. Look at how happy they are!"

At least this time he "asked" me how I felt about it instead of just showing up at home with it. :)

Anyone surprised? Or should the real question be, "How many of you are surprised he went this long WITHOUT a Jeep?"

Painting Eggs!

Tonight we decorated Easter Eggs and the boys had so much fun! They used stickers and glow in the dark paint to make their eggs fabulous! :)

Another FIRST for Kyle!

Hunting Eggs!

We had a nice Easter brunch today at Randy & Melissa's beautiful new home. The boys had so much fun hunting for eggs in their basement. The rain was on and off today so the hunt was moved inside.

But the weather was clear enough for the boys to also have lots of time to play outside as well once the rain tapered off. It was really fun!

And it was Kyle's first Easter ... he had a great time!

Boys and the Spaghetti Evolution

All our boys have loved spaghetti. How could they not, Dave makes the best spaghetti in the world. As babies, they all ended up looking like this. Although, I think that Kyle wins the prize for the messiest spaghetti baby. None of the other boys managed to fling spaghetti on the walls in the process. :)

Eric is still quite a disaster!

Finally, eating without wearing your food.
