Spring Break in Moab

This week is the boys Spring Break.
On Monday morning, we loaded up the 4-wheelers and headed down to Moab.

We rented a condo with the Sintay's which made for really fun accomodations.
We arrived there first so the boys spent some time waiting for their cousins to arrive.

Yeah COUSINS!!!

On Tuesday morning we loaded up the 4-wheelers and the Rhino and did the Steel Bender Trail.

We also did a lot of fun hikes and playing around on the rocks.

Then on Wednesday we did the Gemini Bridges Trail.
It was easy 4-wheeling and some beautiful scenery.

And the kids all got to get new Moab T-shirts which they thought was so cool!

It was a really fun trip!!

Yellowstone and the Great Fishermen!

We just returned from a 5 day trip to Yellowstone with Grandma Chris, Janeen & Chuck, Emily, Jenny & Owen and Darren, Cindy and family. It was a fun trip. The highlight of the trip had to be fishing off of Chuck's boat. The first time out on it Brandon caught a large fish. It was such an exciting thing for him and he was so proud of himself for bringing home dinner. Dave cooked the fish up on the grill and we ate it for dinner. It was so delicious, better then salmon. And the boys all LOVED it and wanted more.
The next day Chuck took the boys out again and both Brandon & Eric caught fish at the exact same time. They were Cutthroats which you have to put back so we didn't get to eat them but it was an awesome thing for them to catch them.

We also had a ton of fun at the usual Yellowstone attractions like Old Faithful and the Falls. We also went to some places that Dave & I hadn't been to before like West Thumb and some of the other geysers out from Old Faithful. We had a good time and good trip!

Portland

Dave had to go up to Portland for work this week so I flew up and joined him for a couple days. (Thanks to Alisa and Rachel for helping us out with the kids while I was gone.) We had a wonderful trip up there.

Dave took me to Portland's Japanese garden knowing I would love it and it was honestly the most beautiful place in the world ... definitely what our heaven will look like.

We did some really nice hikes while up there.

And we hiked Eagle Creek up to Punch Bowl Falls which is a waterfall that I have wanted to see for years. It was really cool!

We got to spend sometime with Don & Jinx which was really nice. Don is gaining some strength and his health is gradually improving which was really nice to see.

We all worked together to get the boat up and running and got to take a nice little boat ride on Thursday night.

It was a great trip to a beautiful place. :)
