Boys Monthly Letters

The boys have posted their monthly letters to their blogs. You can access them by clicking on their pictures to the right.

Field Days

I LOVED field days as an elementary kid ... the best day of the year!! I went and helped out at Brandon & Eric's field days today and it was so much fun. It was "Survivor" themed and each class had their own colors, buffs and tribe flag. Eric's tribe was the "Monster Readers" and Brandon's was "Mrs. Carrell's Crazy Coconuts".

It was fun. Now school is out for summer!

Memorial Weekend in Colorado

Both our family and my sister Erin's family headed to Colorado this weekend to spend time with dad and Shane & his family. It was a really nice weekend. We were able to go out to mom's grave and the kids left flowers there for her.

We also got to see Grandpa O'Berry which was wonderful. I love my grandpa!

On the way to Colorado we stopped off in Rawlins, Wyoming to visit Dave's grandpa Barnhisel. It was so nice to see him.

We actually got to see lots of family while we were there. We went out to Conifer and visited Dave's cousin Jenny. Conifer was a really wonderful place and it was so nice to see Jenny and sweet little Owen.

The kids had so much fun with their cousins. They had so much fun together both inside and outside. Both Brandon & Eric learned how to play chess and spent lots of time playing chess. It was cute!

And on Sunday we got to see the rest of my Colorado family at my cousin Shawn's house for a birthday party for my Aunt. It was so fun to see so much family on this trip.

Rain Rain ... What can you do?

Well it's been raining and raining for days and since there is no end in sight I let the boys put on their galoshes and play in the puddles today. Eric said it was the best day of his life. :)

Goofy little boys ... they love each other!! :)

Soccer Stud

Brandon is FINALLY at the age where he plays soccer and it looks like real soccer instead of a mass of little kids chasing after a ball. This is of course very fun to me being that I have played soccer my whole life! He has become quite the soccer star! He is the star of his team and scores most of their goals. His team won their game today 7-0 and Brandon scored 4 of those goals!

And yes ... I am becoming "That Mom" that coaches and cheers from the sidelines! :)
