Happy Halloween!

Halloween ... one of the very best days of the year for kids.  And this year was no exception.  The boys had a great time and got way too much candy!!!

 

 

Family Halloween Party

Tonight we had our annual family Halloween party ... what very well may be our last one in this house ... sniff sniff.  It was so much fun!  The weather was absolutely beautiful, the costumes and the food was great, we had a fire going in the backyard and a fog machine in the front.  The kids ate doughnuts off strings and broke open a pumpkin pinata.  It was so nice to spend time with everyone and just hang out and enjoy being together.

 

 

Amy & Ian made some amazing cupcakes that would put Martha Stewart to shame.  They also made Brandon a very special cake for his birthday.  It looked just like a real human heart, so much so that Brandon wouldn't touch it. :)

 

Double Digits

Hard to believe that 10 years ago today, Brandon was born.  He likes to say that he is a DECADE old. :)

 

We had a little party for him today with a few of his friends.

Then after Brandon's requested dinner of meat loaf Dave & I gave him his present from us ...

 

... his very own Red Ryder BB Gun!  He was pretty excited to have his very own real gun!

 

Happy Birthday Brandon.  We love you!

Witches & Wizards

Tonight we took our annual trip to Gardner Village to see the Witches. 

Harry, Ron & Draco had a great time, as always!

 

 

Kyle's first day of Preschool

Kyle has been waiting for this day for so long!!  Last night he laid out all his clothes and was so excited to start preschool "tomorrow".  He did have some trouble this morning because he thought preschool was supposed to start "tomorrow" but now it's "today".  He has a bit of trouble with the concept of "tomorrow". :)

 

My third and final Jr. Jag.  I can't believe it.  My baby is going to school and he looks so grown up.  Crazy!!

He had so much fun!!  Nothing like the first day of preschool and the first homework papers.  Kyle couldn't get to them fast enough!!

General Conference

The boys were really good about watching General Conference and actually listening to the talks.  Of course, there were bribes involved. :)

Unfortunately, the bribes came back to haunt Eric as he spent all night throwing up.  Maybe next time he will listen to his mom when she says to save some of the treats and not immediately eat them all ... but probably not.
